A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Parents,

Thank you for an exceptional year.  We have enjoyed teaching your students this school year and are so proud of the progress they have made!   We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our 5th graders this Friday on the last day of school. They will continue to grow and make us proud as they move onto middle school.

We hope that all of our families share wonderful experiences and travels this summer while taking time to read some great books.  Here are a few August dates to remember for the 2019-2020 school year:

August 14 – 4 pm Class Lists posted on front windows

August 15 – Kindergarten Back to School Night, Teacher Helper Day

August 16 – 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Meet the Teacher

August 17 – New Student Play date

August 20 – First Day of School!

It is with mixed emotions that I share with you that 2nd grade teacher Mary Elizabeth Young is retiring after 20 years at Hill. We thank her for the impact she has had on so many Hill Dillos over the years.

We also wanted to update you that current 2nd grade teacher Jordan Silverman will join our 4th grade team beginning in the fall.

Enjoy your summer vacation! Dillo cheer for a relaxing break, and fun times in the sun.
