The Essential Area Team gets Dillos reading, moving, creating, and learning! Essential Areas include:
Mr. Stephen Williams: This is Mr. Williams’ eighth year teaching art at Hill. He loves to explore the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design in the world around him and various art media, especially painting and photography. He earned a BFA in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin and has worked in several art-related fields. He is especially inspired by nature, learning about other artists and their work and sharing his love of art with his students.
Mrs. Michelle Herb: Mrs. Herb has been teaching in Austin ISD for over 10 years. Her main instrument is the French Horn; however, she also loves to practice piano, guitar, and ukulele. She received a Bachelors in Music Education degree from Baylor University in 2007, a Masters in Horn Performance from TCU in 2009, and has taken four levels of Kodaly training. Maestro Williams is currently mastering the Kodaly method, practicing piano, learning the trumpet, and learning guitar and ukulele.
Ms. Melissa Monreal: Coach Monreal has been a Hill Dillo since 2009, first teaching 3rd grade. She decided to become a PE teacher because she enjoys being active and is an avid sports fan. Coach Monreal graduated from The University of Texas in 2007.

She enjoys baking most of all, and also camping in her travel trailer, reading, and quilting. Ms. Moore was born in Austin and graduated from Anderson High School. She attended Baylor University – Sic ’em!
Mrs. Banda was a third-grade bilingual teacher before joining the Hill family. She has worked in the library for 5 years and has loved every minute. She and her husband, Daniel, have two children. Madelynn is student at Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) and Logan attends Murchison Middle School. They have a very active Jack Russell Terrier named Petee that keeps them on their toes!
