PTA Parent Ed – Talking about Diversity & Equity

Please join us on Thursday, December 7th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the MMS Cafeteria for our Parent Education Night. The December topic will be Talking With Our Kids About Diversity and Equity. Connect with other parents and learn how we can communicate, listen, and learn about diversity and equity in our community. Learn how we can help our kids do better today and help them understand the messages they are receiving. Dr. Richard Reddick and Ms. Khotan Shahbazi-Harmon will be sharing information to help parents make sense of today’s environment and facilitating a dialog building upon our close knit community. Both participated in Mayor Adler’s Task Force on Institutional Racism and Systemic Inequities led by Dr. Paul Cruz and Dr. Collette Pierce Burnette. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, Dec. 7th.
