Principal Coffee on April 26 – focus will be STAAR strategies, support to ease student anxiety about testing. Counselors and some teachers will present and share strategies they use to make this time of the year fun and minimize student stress about testing.
Parents, thank you for always being aware and reporting anything that seems unusual to the Hill office.
On a recent safety walk with AISD representatives, it was recommended that there be a single point of entry to Hill School at arrival and dismissal. With that in mind, we have begun propping open the two doors by the front call button as the ENTRY doors at arrival and dismissal and keeping the other two doors closed and locked as the EXIT doors during this time. Parents have already been so supportive of this safety change. We appreciate it!
Also, beginning next Monday, we will begin locking the playground gate at the top of the stairs on Cima Serena at 7:45 a.m. after arrival and opening the gate at 3:00 p.m. right before dismissal. This will also increase student safety, and limit access to the campus during school hours. Thank you for your support!
