A few months ago all of second grade was fortunate enough to participate in a playwriting presentation given by the Emilyann Theater. Many second graders chose to participate in the theater’s playwriting contest. Over 500 original plays were submitted, 2nd grade through 5th grade from schools all over the hill country area. 16 plays were chosen as winners. Two of the winners were from Hill Elementary. This past Saturday the winning plays were performed at the Emilyann Theater in Wimberley. Miranda Farahani and Aaliyah Webb, both from Ms. Southwell’s second grade homeroom wrote winning plays.

Safety updates:
Parents, thank you for always being aware and reporting anything that seems unusual to the Hill office.
On a recent safety walk with AISD representatives, it was recommended that there be a single point of entry to Hill School at arrival and dismissal. With that in mind, we have begun propping open the two doors by the front call button as the ENTRY doors at arrival and dismissal and keeping the other two doors closed and locked as the EXIT doors during this time. Parents have already been so supportive of this safety change. We appreciate it!
Also, beginning next Monday, we will begin locking the playground gate at the top of the stairs on Cima Serena at 7:45 a.m. after arrival and opening the gate at 3:00 p.m. right before dismissal. This will also increase student safety, and limit access to the campus during school hours. Thank you for your support!
Tickets are $45 per person Click here to purchase!
Limited tickets at the door but the price goes up to $50
Last chance to buy raffle tickets too! Those tickets are only available online and will not be offered at the event. You could win an exciting raffle item like a Specialized bicycle – generously donated by Beth Perkins, Teri Schock and Melanie Waters of eXp Realty!
