An Update from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,
It was wonderful seeing many of you at our first Principal Coffee this week. Hopefully you have a better picture of what the school year will look like as we begin the year virtually. You can watch the Principal Coffee recording here in case you missed it. I highly recommend viewing as there is a lot of information that was covered with some great questions from our community. Topics included what school will look like, technology needs, and a look ahead to the weeks leading up to school.

This week’s Summer Vision newsletter from AISD is full of great information, including some definitions for common phrases like “synchronous” we will be using a lot this year. Registration information is listed to support our new Dillo families. Most importantly, notes on what school will look like, similar to what I shared in our Principal Coffee, are there for you from the district level.

You can also find a short bio of the lone finalist to become Austin ISD Superintendent, Dr. Stephanie Elizalde. We want to welcome Dr. Elizalde to Austin and look forward to partnering with her in our school community.

In the coming weeks, we will be sharing many dates to note including when/how families will learn who their teacher(s) is, possible parent/guardian training on BLEND/Seesaw, and other ways to prepare for our first day on August 18th. Please know that we will also be working with our PTA to share more information on our drive-thru pickup day on August 14th for merchandise, yearbooks, supplies, and more! Thank you for ensuring you are subscribed to the Dillo Details and checking hillelementary.com for these updates. I will announce our next Principal Coffee soon as our picture becomes even more clear this week.

Thank you for those of you who wished Baby James well after his tough morning from the Principal Coffee. It took some TLC, but he bounced back well. We’ll update you with more next week. Until then, enjoy a well-deserved weekend!

An Update from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,
We hope everyone is having a nice week of summer. We will plan to give a weekly update through your email and the PTA newsletter each week for the remainder of summer so all of our families have the most up to date information.

Hopefully everyone was able to view Dr. Cruz’s video with some updated information on school reopening. Since then, we had the announcement that learning for all students will begin online for the first 3 weeks of school, with no in-person learning on any campus during that period. This decision is based on the health order from the Austin-Travis County Health Authority which prohibits in-person instruction or student activities on campuses for any public or private school through September 7th. We know this creates hardship for some families during an already tough time. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and flexibility. This is an opportunity for us to ensure the safest possible start to school with more time to prepare for students on campus, as we see decisions and changes still being made weekly at many levels.

With this decision, we were also updated this week that the district is continuing to move forward with securing 24,000 Ipads to distribute to any PK-2nd grade students who need them for at-home learning. The distribution method is still being developed with more information to come soon.

The data from the district’s June Family Pulse Survey has been made available to help us with planning for the upcoming semester. Based on responses, 42% of families reported they intend to send their student(s) to campus for learning, 41% reported they intend to send their student(s) to campus conditionally, and 17% reported they would not be sending their student to physical campus as we begin the semester. Obviously, we know these numbers are not final and will change based on many factors. A second Pulse Survey will be sent out in the coming weeks. Thank you for taking the time to give us this crucial information on your intentions for when in-person learning is possible!

We look forward to seeing anyone who can make it at our first Principal Coffee coming up this week on Thursday, July 23rd, at 10:00 am. Here is the Zoom information:

In order to help us prepare, you are invited to complete this Google Form to submit your top questions you currently have. While every question may not be answerable at this time, it will help us prepare for the most common questions and to see what further information we need to gather. Thank you for helping us to make this Principal Coffee as useful as possible for our families. We will plan to have an August Principal Coffee prior to school beginning as well.

While the unknown right now is not comfortable and not ideal, the one thing we do know is that our staff cannot wait to connect with your students again. Enjoy the last full week of July and see you on Thursday!

An Update from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,
I wanted to give everyone a quick update as we have entered the month of July. As you can see, baby James is combating the heat with a new love for the water. He is getting too big too fast!

As you may have seen earlier this week, the Texas Education Agency provided updated guidance on the reopening of schools in the fall. It stated that families will have the option of either 100% on-campus learning or 100% virtual at-home learning. It also outlined some steps for screening any individual who comes onto campus once we reopen. You can check the new release linked here for the information outlined.

With this new guidance, we will work as leaders in the Austin Independent School District to finalize our planning and procedures for a successful beginning to the school year on August 18th. We will focus on logistics and safety first, to ensure we create the safest possible environment for all students who will be physically attending campus to begin the fall. Some steps for this have been outlined and shared through the AISD Summer Vision updates you can find here. The July 2nd edition shared safety protocols from the district, including possible draft schedules to give parents an idea of what a day may look like. As you know, much can change in the next month depending on decisions by the state. We will continue to keep everyone updated regularly.

While we have been planning for this state guidance being likely in recent weeks, we still have a lot of work to do and questions to answer in regards to the logistical challenge of students attending campus each day with the current safety protocols stated. Still, we want to ensure all families have an opportunity to receive up to date information and ask questions through a Principal Coffee we will plan to hold on Thursday, July 23rd, at 10:00 am. This will not be the last of the summer but will hopefully help our families with decisions they may still be considering in regards to student learning at Hill School. With many meetings being called regularly by district leadership, the date/time may need to be tentative. We will communicate any changes ASAP.

Thank you to all of our families who completed the first round of Family Pulse surveys sent out in June to help us with planning. This information is crucial and please know that at least one more survey will be coming out in the coming weeks. Please take the time to complete the next survey and help us with planning! Knowing numbers of attending families and their concerns will ensure we are ready as the school year approaches to meet the needs of our community. It is appreciated.

If you haven’t driven by school recently, major progress has been made on our extended front circle drive that will take cars off of the street during drop-off and pick-up, supporting safety around campus. The land behind our school has been elevated and leveled as we prepare for pouring the foundations of our modernized studio neighborhood and fitness space. It is wonderful to see the future of Hill coming to fruition!

Lastly, if you haven’t checked out the amazing merchandise available for purchase to help support our PTA and 5th graders, make sure you visit the online marketplace to see cool shirts, hats, stickers, and more. A special thank you to our volunteers who worked so hard on this! Be sure to place your orders by July 22nd to have your order ready as school begins.

Thank you for your continued patience, engagement, and support as we plan for the best possible return to school  in the fall. Know that we will work closely with our families to make this complicated situation workable, whether on campus or online, to best support our students. Have a great weekend!

A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,

We hope all of our families are enjoying their time together right now. While there is still much uncertainty surrounding the fall semester, I wanted to give everyone a brief update on what we do know.

Last week, the district sent information to our Austin community on some guidelines for the reopening of our AISD schools. That information includes a limited capacity of students on campus daily, procedures while on campus, and steps to follow if anyone is suspected of or confirmed to have COVID-19. You can check out the latest Summer Vision 2020 for more information.

Austin ISD has also emailed all families a survey link to provide information on where you are right now in terms of your comfort level and preparedness with different possible scenarios.  We highly encourage you to complete the family survey. For assistance with the survey, please email survey@austinisd.org. It is such important information for us to have in terms of planning. Thank you for taking the time to complete this! You can expect others as we get closer to school with more information at hand.

As you can imagine, this preliminary information will have a big impact on how Hill School will operate, at least to begin the year. Safety will continue to be our utmost priority. Larger school gatherings like assemblies or cafeteria lunch time will not be taking place for the time being. Arrival and dismissal will be very controlled to ensure that appropriate distancing and contact is limited for students and staff who return to campus. Obviously, more information will be shared as we continue to plan in the coming weeks. Updates will include schedules for different scenarios, daily procedures, and other important information as we plan for a truly unique semester. Flexibility will be the key as we allow for the need to move between models at any point that it becomes appropriate. For those parents who may not feel comfortable sending their student(s) to school depending on a number of factors, please know we will have a detailed plan for virtual learning as well. We know that will be the necessity for many for understandable reasons.

You can expect more updates and a more interactive Principal Coffee in the future as we receive more information and develop a strategic plan. While there is still much unknown, please be assured we will constantly consider the health of our students and staff above all else. Tell our Dillos that Mr. Drummond wants to hear about their reading and adventures once we see them again in August! Have a great weekend, everyone.

A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,

It is hard to believe but this week we wrap up our 2019-2020 school year. We have missed our students greatly. Normally this upcoming week is full of fun events, connecting, and providing closure for our students on campus. Obviously, it will be a mix of emotions as we say goodbye for the summer. Just know our staff will work hard to make the week feel special and positive for our Dillos.

As we finish an unprecedented spring, we again want to highlight the perseverance and flexibility our amazing students have shown during this time. They modeled their Hill Agreements and SEL skills daily during Zoom calls and independent work. We are truly proud of how they represent our school, even while not on campus. Our staff has been so impressed and truly thankful that we get to work with your amazing kids. We look forward to the day in the near future when we can all be together again and give a big Dillo Cheer!

As we close out the school year, we do look forward to several special events this week:

  • On Tuesday at 9:00 am, Hill alumni who are graduating seniors are invited to a special Zoom to celebrate them, connect, and announce our three winners of the Suzanne and Vincent Torres Hill Elementary Alumni Scholarship. Zoom information has been sent out to the high schools and will be in our Dillo Details PTA email as well this weekend.
  • On Thursday at 10:00 am, our 5th graders are invited to a special Zoom meeting where we will say goodbye as they move on to middle school. Details for the Zoom are being sent out through the 5th grade email for those families to join.
  • On Thursday at 4:00 pm, our 5th Grade Car Parade will take place around Hill School. We will have staff positioned on Tallwood to say goodbye and see some smiling faces. Again, this is special for 5th graders and appreciate only their participation to make the event and traffic manageable. Details for this are in the Dillo Details this weekend as well. Note: While we love the thought, please do not plan on lining the parade route and getting out of vehicles. We are planning on staff only along the sidewalks as we don’t want any risks or issues that could hurt the event. No one is allowed on campus. Thank you for your understanding and staying in your vehicles!

Another event we are excited to host next week is our Incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten Parent Information Night this Tuesday, May 26th, at 6:00 pm. This is for our future/current parents who will have a student entering these grade levels in the fall. We will give a quick presentation and leave time for questions you may have. We look forward to seeing you there and know that in the fall, we will hold our more traditional orientation in some format.

This is also the time of year where we update our community on staffing as we begin planning for the next school year as well:

  • Sherrie Shaver in 2nd grade is retiring after a 35 year career in education and 15 years at Hill. We thank her for her many years of service to the children of Austin! Kaci Moore, current 3rd grade teacher, will be moving into that 2nd grade position next year.
  • Erin Webb, current Pre-K teacher, will be moving to an additional 1st grade position this year as we add a class at that grade level.
  • Marci Adkinson, current PPCD teacher, will be moving into the vacant Pre-K4 position.
  • Karol Hobbs and Elizabeth Smith will both be leaving Hill as literacy interventionists. We appreciate their service to Hill! Both are retired educators who will now be re-retiring if you will.
  • Jaye Burke Bunde, our current bookkeeper and administrative assistant, will be moving over to Murchison to work with Ms. Newton. We are happy to keep her in the vertical team and thank her for her service to Hill!
  • Vana Rosenblatt, one of our clerks in the office,  will be leaving Hill to pursue her next adventure. We thank her for her service to the Hill community!
  • Krishna Sauceda, one of our childcare workers, will be leaving Hill to pursue her certification as a future teacher. We are proud of her and thank her for her service to Hill Elementary!

As always, we will continue to keep our community posted on staffing updates as we move closer to the fall semester.

Lastly, I wanted to update everyone on summer learning. There will be a 5th grade summer school available by invitation from the district. Students invited will meet certain criteria and will be notified in the next few weeks. There is discussion on a summer school for other grade levels as well but those decisions have yet to be made. We are excited to share that from our understanding, the Learning at Home website, Istation, Dreambox, BLEND pages, and some other district programs will be available for the majority of the summer, closing toward the end of July. While we don’t control this, we are happy this is the word. While new learning will not be added over the summer, this will allow students to still access programs to help them keep growing. These are available in the AISD student portal and again, everything is linked on the Learning at Home website for reference.

As I conclude my first year as the proud principal of Hill School, I want to sincerely thank everyone for the support, guidance, and feedback this year. It has been eventful, but we are a true community who pull together and solve problems together. I wish you all a restful, recharging summer. Please know we will work hard to prepare for the fall while updating you regularly over the summer as we learn more. One last Dillo Cheer to you all, though you may see me on a lot of Zooms this week. Take care and enjoy the break!

Sincerely,

Principal Drummond

A Letter from the Principal

Dear Hill Community,
We hope your weekend has been restful as we come upon our last 2 weeks of school. We have 8 days left of continuous learning as our staff reflect on an eventful year and look forward to planning for a successful fall.

As we begin wrapping up our academic year, our teachers will be reporting their final progress notes for reading, math, and student wellness. All students will either be given a P (Proficient) or I (Incomplete) based on the past weeks of continuous learning. Again, these are not grades and there are no report cards. This information will be used to support students in the fall and in some cases, over the summer. We anticipate families will receive a letter with this information in June. Our staff will work to let families of students receiving I’s know this so there are no surprises and we can document the support they may need.

Regarding fall, Dr. Cruz recently announced a task force composed of staff and community members to examine different scenarios for how school could look for the 2020-2021 school year. We expect draft scenarios to be ready in June. We will keep our community updated as we learn more during the summer.

I would like to invite all of our interested community members to join us for the final Principal Coffee for this school year on Wednesday, May 20th, at 10:00 am. We will provide updates and answer your questions as always. Here is the Zoom information:
Meeting ID: 871 6998 5344

Though we will miss our usual traditions that are beloved during the last weeks of school, we are still excited to celebrate some special groups! On Thursday, May 28th, at 4:00 pm we will hold a special car parade for our 5th grade students to drive by, see their teachers, and get some closure as our Dillos move to middle school. Details have been provided in the Dillo Details by our awesome 5th grade volunteers. Please know we will also see how the fall looks to see if another celebration is possible at Hill post-summer. For our families with graduating high school seniors who attended Hill, we would love to see them during our special Zoom celebration on Tuesday, May 26th, at  9:00 am. There we will announce our 3 scholarship winners. Our high school contacts will be advertising this but reach out if you would like more details. Dillo Cheer for the class of 2020!

We also wanted to update our affected families on summer Dillo Camp refunds due to our unexpected cancellations. Refunds for families who paid by credit card were put in the mail this week if needed vendor forms were completed. Please note the 3% convenience fee on card payments can’t be refunded. For families seeking refunds who paid by check or cash, the district is still working to get those checks out. Our apologies on the delay as normal procedures are not available right now. Please reach out with any questions or concerns to Teresa Carroll or Stephanie Winfrey.

Thanks for your continued support of our school community. Tell your students I’ll see them at Monday assembly!

A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,
We want to thank everyone who took the time to recognize our outstanding educators during Teacher Appreciation Week. The student messages meant so much as our staff misses seeing our kids at school each day. We know our teachers are the best from coast to coast!

As many of you are aware, our AISD superintendent Dr. Paul Cruz will be moving on to a new position with the University of Texas at the end of the calendar year. We appreciate his leadership and support of our schools these past years. A search firm has been hired and is asking for feedback from the Austin community on what qualities you would like to see in our next school superintendent. We encourage you to visit this link where you can find a survey link to give your thoughts.

As of this week, technology requests for our 3rd-5th graders were mostly distributed, giving needed access to our online continuous learning to more students. Dillo Cheer! At this point if you still have not received your technology request that you completed online, please email either myself, Karla Enloe, or Myra Josey. We can request a pickup for you at Anderson High School that can be completed the next day. We appreciate our community’s patience through this process and thank our incredible technology department as they continue working through this difficult task.

This upcoming week, the district will begin a social media push to get our future Pre-K and Kindergarten students registered for the 2020-2021 school year. We encourage any current or future Hill families to complete the following steps if you haven’t done so already:

Step 1:  Complete online registration HERE

Step 2:  Complete the Home Language Survey, Hill Student Information Page, and appropriate grade level form (Kinder Information Page or Pre-K4 Application) found HERE.

Step 3:  Send a digital copy of the following required documents and the completed forms to hill@austinisd.org.

Required documents:

  • Birth Certificate
  • Immunization records
  • Parent driver’s license or passport
  • Proof of address (City of Austin bill, lease, mortgage statement, or Texas Gas bill)
  • Social Security Card for the student if they have one
  • PK applications only – 3 latest paycheck stubs

Please email our Hill Registrar at teresa.carroll@austinisd.org with any questions.

Lastly, I wanted to let everyone know how we are closing down our physical space on campus for the summer. Teachers are in the process of grabbing needed items and packing up student personal belongings in safe rotations over a period of days. After this upcoming Friday, our staff will not be on campus again until we begin preparation for the next school year. Please know that custodial teams will be working to deep clean campus to have it ready for our future return. As we move into the fall, we will have a plan developed to return left student items back to them. Thank you for your understanding and know that I will hold one more parent coffee prior to summer in order to answer any questions you may have as we wrap up this school year.

Thanks as always for reading and have a wonderful week!

A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,
It was great connecting with families again on Thursday for our Virtual Principal Coffee. Your questions were thoughtful and appreciated to keep us improving on how we can best support our students during continuous learning. If you missed it, below is a link to a video with all of the current information.

Our number one focus right now is student well-being. We are so proud of the emphasis our staff is putting into checking in on our students who have a spectrum of needs right now. Our stellar counselors have also created a Google Site where parents and guardians can access resources and activities to support all Hill students at home with SEL skills and tools.

We are also proud to announce that Austin ISD will begin serving meals at Anderson High School to any students who need them from 11:00-1:00 every Monday-Friday. Weekend meal kits will also be available on Fridays for each student. Check out https://www.austinisd.org/covid19/meals for more information.

Please note that as of this week, packets will no longer be available for printed work at any AISD location. Families in need of printed work can visit the Learning at all Home website and scroll down briefly on the homepage to find the request button for physical work to be mailed to your home. Students of families who qualify for free and reduced lunch will automatically receive these mailed activity packets.

We are excited as construction on campus is mobilizing! I drove by today and saw a trailer being delivered that will house the project managers. We encourage all community members to join us this Friday for our Virtual Groundbreaking Ceremony. Dr.Cruz, board trustees, and other guests will join us for this big event. We also can’t wait to see some of our student contributions to the festivities!

Please tell your students that I miss seeing them tremendously each day. I am proud of them and am not at all surprised at the resilience they are showing right now. Have a great weekend and see you all Friday!

Dear Hill Community,

We hope everyone had a smooth first week of continuous learning with your student(s). We are learning how to improve our practice every day and appreciate your feedback on how we can best support our families at home. Thank you all for your dedication to keeping our Dillos healthy and academically engaged during this time.

Please note that this week our teachers will begin presenting continuous learning based on spring standards that may be new to students. Instruction will continue to be aligned across the district in an effort to promote equity and consistency from school to school. As in past weeks, resources will be available on the AISD Learning at Home website, including printable packets families can utilize. We are also excited to announce that Pillow Elementary (3025 Crosscreek Drive) will now have the district printed learning packets available on Wednesdays from 11:00-1:00 if families are interested. Please note that meals will not be provided at Pillow and Burnet MS is still the closest option for student meal support.

You may have heard that the school board passed a resolution to update our grading policy for the 4th nine weeks. All students will earn either a P (proficient) or an I (incomplete) for this grading period. Teachers will use feedback and progress monitoring on weekly continuous learning to help them gauge where students are at the end of the nine weeks. A “P” means the student is ready for the next grade level without needed intervention. An “I” means that the student may need some extra support, review, and/or practice moving into the next grade level in the fall. Access to learning will definitely be taken into account and noted for students appropriately. Please know that an “I” does not weigh heavily into decisions to promote or retain students. Those decisions will be made largely on progress during the first 3 nine weeks. The P/I designations will most importantly help our teachers best support all students this fall as they move to the next grade level. The district is still working on common progress monitoring techniques and more guidance for staff. Thank you for your patience as we continue to build systems needed for these upcoming weeks to best support our students.

While our building has been closed for several weeks now, the district has also made the decision to close down the rest of our grounds, including the playground. Signs were posted earlier this week instructing all citizens to stay off of campus property in order to promote the stay at home order. Thank you for ensuring that your family abides by these new rules and stays off campus completely.

We encourage all parents and guardians to check out the AISD Covid-19 Related Resources for Caregivers. Links are organized by need and very comprehensive for help available around the area. Please email administration and our wonderful counselors with any questions or needs you may have right now.

We want to wish our entire school community a wonderful holiday weekend! Again, thank you to all of our stakeholders for the positivity and perseverance during this time.

A Letter from Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,

We want to thank all of our families for another week of hard work at home with our Dillos. It was wonderful seeing and hearing from many of you again at our Principal Coffees on Thursday. If you missed them, you can see a recording of one of the sessions available in the Dillo Details. Hopefully this lengthy communication below can help answer a lot of questions you may have leading into this new week.

On Friday, Dr. Cruz and Austin ISD made the decision to close schools indefinitely. With this announcement, we understand that online continuous learning will be the way we support our students for the coming weeks.

Beginning Monday, April 6th, Hill School will be closed but instructing. Teachers this week will begin providing continuous learning online for students using a number of creative methods. If they haven’t done so yet, teachers will be communicating where you can find their learning experiences, resources, and other items to support your students’ education prior to tomorrow. This includes our wonderful art, music, PE, and FLEX teachers who are ready to engage students as well throughout the week. Please know that if in doubt, all Hill teachers have updated their BLEND homepages to give parents a consistent place to go to find learning. Students can login at portal.austinisd.org and search “BLEND” to find all of their teacher pages. Parents that login can see all of their students’ teachers as well. Look for more information from our staff on what other resources you may need for learning this week. Thank you all for your patience as we learn and grow each week with this new educational structure. We are treating this like the first week of school and focused on reconnecting with students as our number one priority. Academically, our teachers will be reviewing prior learning to help ease the transition. Beginning April 13th, we will begin progressing ahead with our learning objectives that will be consistent across the school district. Expectations are that teachers will include one continuous learning experience per week for language arts, math, science, and social studies. Some teachers may choose to combine some subjects for more enriching lessons as well. From there, extensions and resources will be available to keep students engaged and learning. Teacher posted schedules are meant to help guide learning but not mandatory to follow as we know that every family has challenges right now at home. We thank all of our adults for doing what you are able to support student learning. There will not be an expectation that all if any work will be turned back in as that is not a capability all families have.

Many families have asked about work packets that can be physically picked up. Those will continue to be available on Wednesdays at all meal sites throughout the district. We also anticipate a school within our vertical team being a pick-up point for these soon as well. We will communicate this once we know the plan. Hill faculty will not be creating their own work packets, as staff are not allowed on campus right now due to concerns for spreading the virus. Please also know that the Austin ISD Learning at Home website will continue to be updated weekly for the duration of school closure as another excellent resource if students need more learning opportunities. The packets can be printed from here under each grade level tab.

We also want to make you aware of our Hill Campus Community BLEND page that can be found HERE. You will need to login to see this page as a student or parent. Here, you can find an updated master schedule for all teachers that show their office hours of availability each day. This time will be consistent where teachers can respond to emails, schedule meetings, and confer with students among other tasks. An updated Counselor Corner is available here as a resource to support students with SEL strategies as well. Lastly, we will have our virtual assembly videos posted their weekly as well to access for each morning. While we can’t hold our beloved tradition in person, we hope this can keep students connected to us in another small way!

At the school board meeting this week, we also expect a grading policy to be approved that will help guide our work for the rest of the spring. At this time, we do not anticipate grades being taken for the 4th 9 weeks. Instead, teachers will be able to provide feedback for students weekly to help guide them. This can be through a Zoom meetup, phone call, or other agreed upon platform with parents and guardians. It will look different class to class. Our staff know to work with parents to set up any of these interactions and to ensure parents are present for the duration. As always, safety is our number one concern right now as we navigate these new structures.

We know that many families are concerned about technology and may not have what is needed at home to practice continuous learning online. We anticipate that AISD will be sending out a survey to all grade 3-5 families on their tech needs, including devices, in the upcoming week. They are currently wrapping up distribution of thousands of devices to middle schoolers across the district. Our intermediate grades will be next. While we don’t have an exact timeline for distribution, we appreciate the hard work of our district tech department in meeting this monumental challenge. Please also know that planning is in the works for possible solutions to support grades Pre-K through 2nd as well with technology needs. We will keep everyone updated in our community as we learn more. Until we have all family needs met, we encourage those interested to pick-up the physical work on Wednesday at Burnet MS or Cook ES, those being the closest sites to us.

While we are unfortunately not allowed to be on campus, we are excited for construction on our new 10 studio addition and new fitness space to begin as scheduled at the end of April. We would like to invite all of our interested stakeholders to our Campus Architectural Team Community Meeting this Wednesday, April 8th, at 6:00 pm. This will be a Zoom virtual meeting with more information below in today’s Dillo Details. It will be exciting for everyone to see how our campus will be enhanced in the 2021-2022 school year!

Again, thank you for all of your positivity, support, and hard work to support our students during this very difficult time in our world. We appreciate your patience as our staff, like many of you, juggle working at home while also caring for family and educating their own small children using these same methods. It is not easy for anyone. This is not business as usual, but we will make this successful. We know this because the Hill community is strong and supportive! We hope everyone has a great week of learning, friends.
