Hill Elementary’s Carnival is back on Saturday, October 28 from 11:00am to 1:00pm! This event is our largest community gathering of the year and is fun for all ages.
How do I get Tickets?
Wristbands for entry and cascarones (aka confetti eggs) are ready for purchase HERE! One wristband gets your child age 4+ unlimited participation throughout the Carnival. Kids 3 and under are free. Adults do not need wristbands.
How Can I Help?
Don’t forget to sign up for a VOLUNTEER slot at your class’s booth or sign up to be Dash! It takes the whole school to make this event special. Shifts are short and you’ll always have someone working with you at your booth. CLICK HERE to sign up.

Hill Elementary’s Carnival is back, and we are excited to return to a daytime Carnival on Saturday, October 28 from 11:00am to 1:00pm! This event is our largest community gathering of the year and is fun for all ages.
How do I get Tickets?
Wristbands for entry and cascarones (aka confetti eggs) are ready for purchase HERE! Cascarones are not sold at the event. Prices go up the week of Carnival so make sure you get your presale pricing. One wristband gets your child age 4+ unlimited participation throughout the Carnival. Kids 3 and under are free.
What Events Will be There?
Pedestal joust, homerun derby, football throw, and soda toss are back! New events this year include pony rides, photobooth with Dash, live D.J. with dance contests, and hair painting. YES! The famous HILL HAUNTED HOUSE is back and better than ever. Tell your friends. The 5th graders have been hard at work to make it the best Haunted House yet.
Will There Be Food?
Yes! After winning all the games, check out the Hill Carnival Food Truck Park with lots of local favorites including Stoney’s Pizza, Kona Ice, Donut NV, Shishman Mediterranean, Taco Man 512 and more. Come hungry!

Remember! Tomorrow is Walk to School Day! Meet at Hillcrest Church (3838 Steck Ave, corner of Greenslope and Steck) at 7:10am. Walk to School with Dash at 7:25am. Bring your water! Reach out to Paige Teng with any questions at walktoschool@hillelementary.com.

Tomorrow, get yourself something tasty and give back to Hill at the same time! Head on over to Torchy’s Tacos Spicewood Springs location September 28th for this month’s Spirit Day (that’s right, all day)! Mention “Hill Elementary” when you order, and Torchy’s will donate 15% of the profits back to Hill. Stop by for a delicious lunch or dinner, or both! And don’t forget to add queso to… everything.

And tomorrow, September 21st, the PTA will be meeting in the library at 7:45a. This is a great opportunity to find out about the latest Hill happenings as well as voice any ideas or concerns. We make Hill great together!

Deadline to order food for Sock Hop has been extended to Wednesday, September 20! Place your order today for Wally’s burgers, chicken tenders or grilled cheese on the Hill Marketplace. All meals come with chips and water. Wally’s will not be sold at the event, pre-purchasing is REQUIRED.

Calling all volunteers! We need your help for Sock Hop! Please sign up here for a 30 minute time to help us make Sock Hop a success this year. Please reach out to sockhop@hillelementary.com with any questions.

Families with students in 1st through 5th grades, join us for Back to School Night on September 7th. This is a parent-only evening.
5:30-6:00pm. Cafeteria. Short presentations from Hill administration, Essential Areas, and PTA.
6:00-6:45pm. Classrooms. Presentations from your classroom teacher(s). Families who need to visit multiple classrooms are invited to move in and out as needed.
