Hello Parents,
We had a great first day at the book fair! All classes scheduled to visit the book fair on Tuesday will be rescheduled to attend later this week. Classes visiting the fair on Wednesday will keep their scheduled time unless school is canceled on Wednesday. We restock books throughout the week, and everyone can shop during school hours and at Family Night on Friday, February 3, 5 pm – 7 pm.

The Book Fair is just around the corner and we need all the help we can get!
Please come by TOMORROW OR FRIDAY, during school hours on January 26th and January 27th, to help decorate the library and set up the fair. Bring a friend and have even more fun! We also need cashiers for the fair and during family night.
From January 23rd – 27th, Hill is raising money for the library of our sister school, Graham Elementary. Students can bring cash, coins or checks made out to Hill PTA and drop them in the Pringles can in their classroom. The class that raises the most money gets a popcorn party AND selects the books that go to Graham! There will be two winners this year, one class from K-2 and one class from 3-5.

Last call! Just a reminder that TODAY is the last chance to claim items from the lost and found. Next week (December 19-21), anything left will be made available to the Hill community.
For 5th grade parents: to make things easier on y’all, we put items left in their building in two specially marked boxes.
We’ll continue to try to return labeled items to their owners so please remember to write your kids’ names on all clothes, lunchboxes, and water bottles.

Tomorrow’s forecast does not look favorable for Carnival. Keeping the safety of our students and volunteers in mind we have decided to postpone Carnival. Please save the date for March 31, 2023. We are looking forward to all the food trucks, the famous 5th grade Haunted House, and all the games and rides. If you have already picked up your wristbands, please keep them somewhere safe until then. If you have not picked up your wristbands we will keep them for you until pickup in the Spring. Thank you to the flexibility and hard work of all the Carnival volunteers. We appreciate our community so much and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone in the Spring.
Please tell your Dillos that the winners of the candy collection contest will be announced by Mr. Drummond, and their Pizza Party is still on. Thank you Hill families for your support and understanding! Stay dry!
