Our 5th grade Dillos will take the STAAR Science test this Wednesday, April 26th. Parents, caregivers, visitors, and volunteers are not allowed on campus during school hours on Wednesday. Here’s a short list of STAAR-ready reminders: get a good night’s sleep, have a healthy breakfast, arrive at school on time, and bring healthy snacks and a book! This is Childcare Appreciation Week AND Office Staff Appreciation Week!  Betty Thompson, Diva Dale, Erica Mullen, Maritza Martinez, Michelle Hernandez, and Rebecca Gilbreth make up our EXTRAORDINARY CHILDCARE TEAM.  They welcome their after-school students with open arms every day, keeping them happy and engaged.  Jessie Rupert, Krishna Sauceda, Linda Glass, Lucy Chu, Maria Harp, and Teresa Carroll are our EXCEPTIONAL OFFICE STAFF.  They wear a hundred different hats throughout the day, and take the best care of all of us!

Mr. Drummond is holding a special Principal Coffee for Incoming Pre-K and Kindergarten parents/caregivers this Thursday, at 7:45am in the Library.  During this meeting, you will learn all about Hill Elementary and have an opportunity to talk with a Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher.  Please check in at the front office when you arrive.  See you soon!

Earth Day is Saturday, April 22nd. The Hill Green Team invites you to join them in showing our commitment to our planet by wearing GREEN and BLUE this Friday, April 21st.

Bring the whole family out to the 11th Annual Hill Health Fair and Dillo Dash! Run with your Dillo friends! Hang with your favorite Anderson Trojan athletes! Be a healthier Dillo! Volunteers are needed to make this special event happen. Please consider volunteering for this fun event!

Join us this Thursday at 7:45am in the Library for our April PTA Meeting. This month we welcome Dr. Laura Amoscato from Austin Child Guidance Center, who will share her wisdom on parent-child relationships.
