One of the key projects included in the voter-approved Austin ISD 2017 Bond Program is the first phase of a planned expansion for Hill Elementary School.  This project is scheduled to move into the design phase in May 2020.  While you may not see physical changes at Hill yet, please know that we are planning for it.  Click here to view the comprehensive project schedule:  https://goo.gl/gFxs43

Word of the Month – TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

“Taking responsibility means admitting you do something wrong and trying to make amends.

May 28 Morning Announcement – HANDLING NAME CALLING

“It is not okay for people to call you names that hurt your feelings.  If someone calls you a name, you can ignore the person or respond assertively.  If the person doesn’t stop, you should tell a grown up.”

Congrats to our 2017-2018 5th Graders!

We are so proud of our 5th graders!  They have been excellent leaders at our school and are ready to spread their wings and head off to middle school in the Fall.  The 5th grade graduation walk around the halls of Hill will occur on Wednesday, May 30th at 2:15 pm.

Hill Crossing Guard Appreciation Day – May 29th

Do your kids walk or ride their bike to school?  We have some of the best crossing guards in town that keep our Dillos safe each morning and afternoon for arrival and dismissal.  Please show your appreciation for their service to our Hill community on Tuesday, May 29th.  Have your kids make them a card, bake them some goodies, or just tell them how much you appreciate all they have done this year.

Their names are Linda Middleton (Ciema Serena @ Tallwood), Franklin Daughtery (Austin Woods @ Tallwood), Mary Andrade (Hyridge @ Tallwood), Dazine Michelle Morris (Hyridge @ Tallwood), and Benjamin Mendoza (Austin Woods @ Mesa).
