Please join families from across AISD at a free, fun event! Back to the Future is a resource fair, a day of free family fun and a celebration of Austin ISD students, schools and families. More than 80 groups will be there to share information, lead activities for kids and offer giveaways. You can also learn about dozens of free programs that these groups can bring to PTA meetings and family events on your campus!
Kids can experience an instrument petting zoo, heat a snack in a solar oven, meet reptiles, make a magic wand, see a high school band perform, try yoga, write poetry, learn about robots, make stop-motion animation and much more. The Austin Public Library’s bookmobile will be there. So will the Austin ISD food truck. And there will be information for parents and other caregivers, too.
AISD Superintendent Paul Cruz and Austin Mayor Steve Adler will speak at 10:25 am and 10:30 am, and they will be introduced by Austin ISD students performing a song and dance from the musical Newsies. We would love to have you there to share in the fun!
Did your child come home without their ravioli? The thermos is still here, minus the lunch. If you recognize an item, have your child pick it up or email lostandfound@hillelementary.com with the teacher’s name and it can be delivered.
