Hill Elementary Weekend Meals Program

Hill children are eligible to be a recipient of the Weekend Meals program. Once the program is implemented, your child will receive a bag of non-perishable food in their backpack every Friday. There is no cost associated with this program. These bags of food will be dispensed in a discreet and caring manner. This program runs the full school year. If you wish for your child to participate in the program please sign up below. You will be contacted about the starting date of this program after it is determined. All identifying information will be kept private.

Fulmore’s Dual Language Academy

Fulmore’s Dual Language Academy is open to any student who has participated in the AISD Dual Language Program at the elementary level and also by placement test.  Hill students would have to be admitted through a placement test since we do not offer a dual language program.  Click here for more information about the program.

Hill Country Carnival

Pringles/1 liter Soda Donations:

Please send in full sized cans of Pringles for the Pringle Toss booth and 1 liter Soda Bottles for the Soda Toss booth! If you want to donate 2L at this time, I will take 2L bottles. Please donate these items in the labeled bins by the yellow brick wall.

Baked Goods Donations: 
Please donate baked goods items for the Cake Walk booth and Bake Sale booth. ONLY BRING IN DONATED BAKED GOODS ON THE LAST 2 DAYS BEFORE CARNIVAL- OCTOBER 25TH AND THE 26TH.  Please donate these items in the labeled bins by the yellow brick wall.
For the Cake Walk booth: This booth needs small cakes (Think little debbie type cakes/ or a generic/store brand version). The cakes must come to school in the original store packaging.  Everything must be store-bought and non-perishable
For the Bake Sale Booth: This booth needs a variety of baked goods (cookies, brownies, traditional baked goods etc). All items must be store-bought and nonperishable and brought into Hill in it’s original store packaging.

AISD Parent Input Meetings

AISD is hosting two Human Sexuality and Responsibility Elementary and Middle School Curricula Survey Parent Input Meetings.  These meetings are intended for any individuals who are unable to attend our campus CAC meeting when the human sexuality and responsibility survey is discussed, and for families wishing to submit their own individual survey response.

The goals of the meetings are to:

  • inform participants about national and local human sexuality education curriculum standards, policies and research
  • invite and collect feedback from participants to assist in the development of the revision of our human sexuality and responsibility curriculum (scope and sequence and standards)

The meetings are scheduled for:

  • November 8th at Travis Early College High School cafeteria:  6-7:30pm
  • November 13th at Lanier Early College High School cafeteria: 6-7:30pm

Citizens’ Textbook Committee Recommendations Needed!

Proclamation 2019 guides the adoption of textbooks/instructional materials for the following:

  • English Language Arts and Reading:  K-5 grade
  • Spanish Language Arts and Reading:  K-5 grade
  • English Language Arts and Reading:  6-8 grade
  • English Learners Language Arts:  7-8 grade
  • Personal Financial Literacy

Community participation in the nomination protocol is essential to support a successful adoption process.  Your nominations are the foundation for building a parent committee that reflects the diversity of AISD.

Sports Days will be Rescheduled

Our annual Hill Sports Days was scheduled to take place this week on October 16-18. Due to scheduling conflicts, this will not take place and staff will work on rescheduling at a later date. Thanks for your understanding.
