Lost & Found Deadline - Help! We are swimming in lost & found. Come take a lap in the sea of jackets and water bottles to see if you recognize any missing items. It could very well be there! Your reunion awaits, and you only have until May 10th.
Wed – Bike to School Day! - Dillos, get ready for Bike to School Day on Wednesday, May 8th! Bike, roll, or walk to school and then meet at the Hill bike rack in the front to safely lock your bike and get a cool prize! For questions, reach out to walktoschool@hillelementary.com. Dillo Cheer – Buckman Orthodontics - A big Dillo cheer to Buckman Orthodontics for bringing pizza and drinks for all of the Hill staff this past week. We are so grateful for their generosity!
Thurs – PTA Budget Meeting & Volunteer Thank You - Please join us this Thursday, 5/9, for our May PTA Meeting. The meeting will be held at 7:45 am in the library. Student Enrollment Open - Enroll Austin is open to General Registration for your student(s) for the fall of 2024. Please visit https://www.austinisd.org/enroll to get started now. As we begin looking ahead to create classes for your student, they need to be registered for this process.
Student Wellness Reminders - There has been an increase in the “stomach bug” among our students. As a reminder, please be considerate of other students and staff by keeping your child at home when they are ill. And follow AISD policy: Child must be free of fever (100.0), diarrhea and vomiting for 24hrs without the use of medications. We appreciate your cooperation with this matter.
Generation SERVE - Interested in family friendly volunteering activities? Generation SERVE is an Austin-based organization that’s dedicated to engaging children in volunteerism and empowering them to make a difference in their communities. Math Pentathlon – 1st Grade - Last weekend 9 of our 1st grade Dillos competed at the Division I Math Pentathlon tournament at McCormick Middle School in Buda. Our pentathletes played hard and did a great job: Jax Barfoot, Dylan Chow, Eleanor De La Rosa, Viaan Kothavale, Jackson Levesque, Hudson Reynolds, Owen Shimek, Ben Tang, and Leo Yang. And a big thank you to their coach, Supriya Kothavale!
