From Principal Drummond

Dear Hill Community,

We had a blast at our annual Hoopla fundraiser on Friday! We want to say a special thank you to Alexis Holder, Jessica McKay, and their big team of volunteers for the hours and days of work to make this event possible. Hill Hoopla supports our school in such a big way. Dillo Cheer for such a fun night out!

We wanted to remind everyone that this Friday, April 15th is a student holiday as our staff will be participating in professional learning. There is no school that day.

Hill Heritage Week is this week! This is a wonderful, annual celebration of our rich diversity at Hill School. You can click here for more information, including the parade route for our Heritage Fashion Show walk on Wednesday morning.

The AISD Health and PE Department have been working on revising all of the Human Sexuality and Responsibility (HSR) lessons for the 2022-2023 school year. The revision is required to be compliant with new legislation laws and Health TEKS.  Parent feedback is important to guide this work.  We will be holding an information session for interested parents/guardians on Wednesday, April 20th at 7:45 am in our library to learn about the revised HSR policies, revised HSR lessons, and information on how to take the HSR survey.  The survey will be available and sent to stakeholders beginning April 18th. Families may also attend a School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) meeting to provide additional feedback. Please see the SHAC website  or the Human Sexuality & Responsibility website for more information.

We will finish with two quick reminders. Families should not be dropping off students on the street behind our school on Robbie Lane. If you utilize the back of our school, you should be parking and walking your student up. It is not safe to drop students at the curb or in the street with so much traffic in the area. There is also no parking on the other side of the street. This is also the last day to use this link and provide feedback for class placements for next year if you have a current Kinder-4th Grade student. Thank you!
