Friday – 4th Grade Entries Due

FOURTH GRADE STUDENTS are invited to participate in AISD’s annual African American Heritage Celebration Essay Contest.  Participants will write a composition addressing the theme: “Building the Future from the Lessons of the Past.”  The writing prompt is: “Why is it important to study Black History?”  CLICK HERE for specific information.  Essays are due to Mr. Drummond by Friday, January 27th.  Winners will be recognized at this year’s 40th African American Heritage Program, held Friday, February 24th at 6pm at the AISD Performing Arts Center.  Thank you for your continued support of this celebration and remember to add this event to your calendar!
