Dillo Dash

Absolutely! The Dillo Dash is for everyone. This year, we will offer a Mini Run for children under the age of six. Participants in the Color Run may run the full course or just a fraction at whatever speed they like. Just don’t forget to register!

The Dillo Dash and Health Fair is FREE! Please just remember to register. Registration is required for all participants.

Wear clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Sunglasses are also encouraged. The color dust usually washes out, but cleaning results can vary. When washing color run clothes, make sure you wash them in one load and in cold water. If participants would like to preserve the color in their clothes, simply spray with vinegar and iron it.

There will be a blowing station to remove excess color dust but drivers may want to bring old towels to protect the seats of your car on way home and/or a change of clothes.

The color powder is non-toxic made of a combination of cornstarch, baking soda, and food-safe dyes. Some runners opt to wear glasses or goggles for their eyes and use a bandana or dust mask for their mouths. The Color Throwers will aim low as runners pass by. If a runner has a sensitivity to corn, the powder could irritate the airways.

We will run on campus. The Mini Run will be on the track. The Color Run will start in the south teachers’ parking lot and finish on the track.
